Here’s what Obama is gonna do if he stays for 4 more years

He will continue doing much of what he’s done for the last 2.5 years. That means:

:bulletblack: More indefensible bureaucratic expansion. [link]
:bulletblack: More regulation of company mobility to prevent profitable enterprises from fleeing Democratic majority states to search for more freedom elsewhere. [link]
:bulletblack: More economic failure, leading to Carter-style stagflation. [link]
:bulletblack: More debt growth, as he resists all attempts to steer the country away from an imminent Greek-style crash. [link]
:bulletblack: More moralistic nationalization, enforced through militarization of the US police forces, pushing us towards a Soviet-style police state. [link] [link] [link]
:bulletblack: More corrupt abuses of executive power, bordering on illegality. [link] [link] [link]

If you want to continue these disturbing trends, to disregard liberty in favor of a Soviet-style socialist nation under a government with totalitarian control over your personal life and endeavors, then by all means, vote for Obama in 2012. But if you want change- economic recovery and the restoration of the values of liberty -then for your own sake, vote against the Democrats!

Obama has also proven himself to be the very war monger that the regressives accused Bush of being, but I do not think it is for the reasons most people think. Ever since the draft was ended, soldiers have by and large leaned toward the right end of the political spectrum, and Honduras is a fine example of soldiers obeying their oath to a constitution to the letter.

He is much less vulnerable if the Praetorian Guard is heavily occupied.

“There are two novels that can transform a bookish 14-year-kld’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish daydream that can lead to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood in which large chunks of the day are spent inventing ways to make real life more like a fantasy novel. The other is a book about orcs.”

The Marxists will lose, one way or another; the only question is whether they plunge the Republic into civil war on their way out or not. It is a simple fact that the majority of the country is libertarian, conservative or a mix of both. Why do you think Rush gets 20 million viewers while Air America failed?

So let’s consider the facts at hand: while Barack Obama claims he is going to move most of the troops out of Iraq by August 2010, have we actually seen a scaling down of troops in Iraq? Not particularly, while there is a bit of downward trend around 2010, how long will it be before Iraq again claims the US is “leaving Iraq to the wolves”? Also, while troops have been scaling back in Iraq, they’ve been exponentially increasing in Afghanistan, supposedly chasing Al Qaeda boogeymen.

The way troop movements are going, why not just assume a perpetual state of war? If that’s the case, Obama is taking the right steps towards a wartime economy. As you mentioned in your post, Obama is undoubtedly moving towards a Soviet-like state, with bureaucratic increases, universal healthcare, and nationalization. But is such a state really the great devil you claim it to be? Why are Americans still quaking in their cowboy boots over the Red Menace? One of the great benefits of a communistic economy is that wartime production is incredibly easy. Because the government is in charge of production, it’s not a supply-and-demand-free-market game anymore. The government will manufacture what they need, no more and no less, then shift its attention elsewhere. In fact, such production tactics were used by one of America’s most beloved presidents, FDR, to lift the US out of economic depression and on to victory in WWII. The War Production Board appropriated many disparate factories and enlisted their aid in producing necessary items. Were Americans upset about their civil liberties being stepped on for the greater good? Not particularly, as one observer pointed out “the good temper and common sense of most people under restrictions and vexations was really impressive… My own observation is that most people are behaving like patriotic, loyal citizens.” If we are going to continue to have our troops overseas (wherever they may be), we can’t continue spending at a peace-time rate. The most effective way is to adopt some communistic approaches with respect to production and the economy, which are some steps Obama is clearly moving towards.
